Exclusive Interview w/ Dave Meltzer

I contacted Wrestling Observer Newsletter and webpage editor Dave Meltzer, since he's part of this for deciding not to mention a very obvious story of blatent false advertising.

The following is the interview in his own words. And you can see that Dave, isn't really the sharpest knife in the drawer.

Tony: You were informed about TNA's false advertising on the "Bound For Glory" DVD, that someone went to "major retailers" as per TNA's television ads and nobody had a clue about it. You chose not to mention this on your newsletter webpage, was it because you don't want TNA to stop sending guests like Mick Foley for your Observer show?

Dave Meltzer: Good supposition given I presume you have never read the Observer Newsletter and what is written about TNA. I don't mind criticism and actually get a kick out of it.

Tony: You get a kick out of pewople critisizing you? Interesting as you're the only one I know that gets a kick out of people handing you your ass. I read your webpage on a daily basis and I have read your printed newsletter. I prefer the Torch myself.

Dave: you can come up with any fantasy you like.

Tony: There's no fantasy. you were informed on a legit story of people who are the opnes who spend money on TNA shows, PPV's and merchandise, seeing false advertising on TNA's part. You were supplied facts, these same facxts that two other wrestling news sites have taken and made mention of this on their webpages. The only fantasy here is you thinking there's nothing significant about TNA doing what the WWE does, though you're the first one to mention WWE blunders.

Dave: it's nothing either company can do about it.

Tony: Oh there is, you see I work in sales and I know where the merchandise I sell is distributed. TNA can call the company that distributes their DVDS and find out exactly what 'major retailers' will be carrying them. it's as simple as one phone call. sounds like they and you, just took a lazy way out by trying to deny this.

Dave:it's nothing either company can do about it.

Tony: I just told you what they could do, are you afraid that if you mentioned this that TNA won't send you a Mick Foley as a guest on your little Observer show?

Dave: we were on talking mostly aboutThe Wrestler and his t houghts on the movie.

Tony: Are you trying to deny that Mick Foley is an employee of TNA, even though it's obvious he is?

Dave: I don't see it as a significant story

Tony: You don't see Mick Foley being an employee of TNA as a story?

Dave: I don't see it as a significant story

Tony: You don't see Foley as an employee in TNA or TNA falsely advertising as a story, but pushing a three quarter of a page ad for your newsletter and suscriptions you do consider a significant story. This sounds like a Vince Russo copout. Your reasons make no sense and when I call you on this, you give excuses that aren't even viable. You're coming off sounding very clueless and dumb you know.

Dave: I presume you have never read the Observer Newsletter

Tony: We already covered this, remember?

Dave: That would be completely hypocritical.

Tony: huh? What's hypocritical is you forever mentioning WWE's blunders but you're dodging the same stuff when TNA does it. are your lips that puckered to the asses at TNA?

Dave:Did you miss the part about WWE did the same thing?

Tony: No but you're missing the part of TNA doing exactly what WWE does and your Vince Russo dodging of it with lame senseless excuses shows you're missing many parts here. I again ask, why is that?

Dave: why should I consider it a story now?

Tony: Well seeing that TNA should care alittle bit about their fan base that they care enough to invest money in them is a good reason.

Dave: you have never read the Observer Newsletter?

Tony: I have...why? What does this have to do with what we're talking about?

Dave: Well the Rates are For the United States, it is $12 for 4 issues, $29 for 12, $55 for 24, $91 for 40 and $118 for 52. In Canada and Mexico, rates are $13.50 for 4, $33 for 12, $61 for 24, $101 for 40 and $131 or 52. In Europe, you can get the fastest delivery and best rates by sending....

Tony: You're an idiot, you know that? You can dodge this all you want but all this is doing is showing what a fucking moron you are, and that you had no balls to mention it because your tougne is very up the asses of TNA

Dave: Did you miss the part about WWE did the same thing?

Tony :(Shaking his head) what a bone head/

Dave: If you order by mail with a check, cash or money order (P.O. Box 1228, Campbell, CA 95009-1228), you can get $1 off in every price range

Tony: Shut up stupid.
